Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
